The Peninsula Airport Commission seeks a positive, team-oriented, customer service-focused person to fill the positions of Terminal Maintenance Technician at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. Applicant must possess Journeyman Electrical or HVA license or extensive experience in a trade. Applicant will be required to perform general electrical work to include the installation and repair of conduit, wiring, panelboards, lighting (indoor & outdoor), and automatic transfer switches. In addition, applicant will make repairs and service a public address system, fire alarm, and baggage conveyor system. Applicant may also be tasked with minor maintenance of the terminal HVAC system. Pay determined on level of experience. This position is Monday-Friday, but also requires on-call response to the airport.

Requirements include experience in snow removal, airfield pavement repair, general grounds maintenance, underground water/sewer pipe repair. Must possess the ability and skill to operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, dump truck, lawn tractors and others. Must have a working knowledge of hand-tools and small engine machinery. CDL or ability to obtain a CDL within one year of employment required. The employee will perform a variety of assignments received from the Grounds Supervisor and or Grounds Foreman. Pay determined on level of experience. This position is Monday-Friday, but also requires on-call response to the airport.

This position will report to the CFO, the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure billing. The employee will perform a variety of duties including: completing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, prepare periodic journal entries and assist with month-end close process, prepare bank reconciliations. prepare or receive monthly billing, prepare monthly financial reports, revise and modify existing finance procedure documents, work closely with multiple departments.
